The WAG Rescue Clinic & Shelter currently hosts about 120 animals - including dogs, cats, cows, goats, chickens, turkey, ducks & parrots! Interning with us gives you an opportunity for hands-on experience working with rescued animals from the streets that are injured, abused or neglected.
We are open every day, throughout the year, providing you with the perfect flexible time schedule where you can pick your days & working hours.
WAG'S SHELTER
Our GoShala is home to 50 cows & various other species of animals. Duties usually include:

preparing food & feeding the herd
-
bottle feeding orphaned calves
-
cleaning cages & enclosures
-
assisting with wound dressings (under supervision from regular staff only)

providing cuddles & a whole lot more!
WAG'S RESCUE CLINIC
All our injured and ill cats and dogs are housed at our Rescue Clinic. At any given time we have up to 30 animals needing dedicated love and care. Duties usually include:

assisting in feeding the animals
-
dog walking and general care like bathing, tick/flea control
-
working with them on leash training, socialising
-
assisting with wound dressings and administering basic medication (under supervision from regular staff only)
Veterinary students may be permitted to assist in OPD with prior permission.
Other general duties could include film making, photography and social media, administrative work or building partnerships and alliances. Do contact us if your interest area isn’t listed above.
